It is vitally important that each citizen in New York has access to high speed broadband service. Quality broadband service is essential for distance learning, working from home, and easier access to government programs and economic opportunities.
The New York State Department of Public Service is requesting consumers' help to study the availability, reliability, and cost of high-speed internet and broadband services in New York State. Residents are encouraged to take a brief survey to provide feedback about the quality of broadband service in their area. By participating in this survey, you will help the Department understand more about issues relating to broadband availability and adoption in your county and in New York.
To access the survey, visit www.empirestatebroadband.com. There are two components - a Speed Test and a Survey. The overall survey should take less than 7 minutes. For more information about the survey, visit the FAQ page.
If you would prefer to fill out a paper survey, please call the toll-free number at 1-855-NYBBMAP (1-855-692-2627) and follow instructions to have a paper copy mailed to your home.
