Senator Fred Akshar's Senate Veterans Hall of Fame Inductees
July 15, 2022
Over the past 7 years, I’ve had the honor of recognizing some of the 52nd Senate District’s most outstanding citizens and true American heroes through the NYS Senate Veterans Hall of Fame. These veterans embody honor, sacrifice and distinguished service to our great nation both abroad and at home.
While several of our inductees continued to serve their communities in many ways for many years after returning home, not all of our inductees were fortunate enough to make it home safe. Collectively, their service and sacrifice remind us all exactly what the cost of the freedoms we enjoy truly is, and that is why our community will always continue to honor, remember and thank the men and women who served and sacrificed defending our freedoms and our way of life.
Please take a moment to learn more about each our of inductees from the past 7 years below.
