Senator Sanders participation in this program has closed for 2022. Those interested in receiving free smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors MUST CONTACT THE RED CROSS DIRECTLY at (877) 733-2767.
Keeping our citizens safe is our top priority. That’s why Senator James Sanders Jr. is helping the American Red Cross Sound the Alarm about home fires. Seven people die every day in a home fire. To help save lives, the Red Cross and local groups are installing free smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors and developing family escape plans in high risk neighborhoods. If you don’t have a working smoke alarm or carbon monoxide detector, please click on the link https://www.redcross.org/sound-the-alarm.html or call Senator Sanders' office at 718-523-3069 or 718-327-7017 to set up an appointment to get a free smoke alarm or carbon monoxide detector installed in your home.
