Senator Shelley B. Mayer Statement on Supreme Court Ruling
June 23, 2022
“I am saddened and deeply disappointed by the Supreme Court of the United States. How many times must we ask when enough is enough? I continue to engage with families who are truly and rightfully worried about access to guns in our state and country. Now is not the time to ease our laws and make it easier for people to carry guns in public places. I stand ready to return to Albany and do everything in our power to protect New Yorkers from gun violence.”
