- 2023 State of the State
New York State Senator Anthony Palumbo (R,C-New Suffolk) today issued his remarks following Governor Kathy Hochul’s 2023 State of the State address:
“Today, in her State of the State address, Governor Hochul committed to improving New York’s mental health services and providing much needed pay increases for those who care for the state’s most vulnerable residents. Expanded mental health services are critical to caring for our youth and veteran populations while also being an important component for making New York safer. Improving the state’s public safety must be the government’s top priority in 2023 as we work to stop and roll back disastrous criminal justice policies that have made New York more dangerous and eroded the rule of law. By enacting common sense proposals and re-establishing needed balance on the state level, we can make New York State a safer, stronger and more affordable home for all New Yorkers.”
