Electric vehicle charging stations to be installed in several 48th District municipalities

Three municipalities in the 48th District won state grants to install electric vehicle charging stations.
The funding is part of $8.3 million in grants given to 70 municipalities across New York for EV charging stations. The project will bring the state closer to reaching the greenhouse gas reduction requirements under the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act and set us up for a more sustainable future.
Grants were awarded to the following three municipalities in the 48th District:
Town of Onondaga
- 10 Level 2 Charging Ports
- Grant amount: $194, 521
City of Auburn
- 6 Level 2 Charging Ports
- Grant amount: $80, 288
Village of Baldwinsville
- 4 Level 2 Charging Ports
- Grant amount: $35, 454
