Senator Rachel May invited cideries from across New York to Albany to set up for cider tastings in the lobby of the Legislative Office Building. The goal was to introduce the cideries and their product to legislators while highlighting Senator May’s cider shipping bill. New York is one of a few states prohibiting cideries from shipping products directly to consumers. Senator May's bill, S1999, would change that by allowing cideries to send their product to customers, attracting new customers and boosting sales.
