Community Update: Students in Albany, Legislation Passing, EMS Week
Senator Shelley B. Mayer
June 1, 2023
Dear Friends,
I hope everyone had a beautiful Memorial Day, as we remembered and reflected on the thousands of brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to our country. We are forever indebted to them.
Just recently the Senate recognized National EMS Week, as well as Police Week. I want to thank all of the courageous first responders who protect and serve our community. My remarks on the Senate floor regarding Police Week are below.
Less than five session days remain of the 2023 Legislative Session, and I will keep you updated on our work in Albany. A number of my bills have passed both the Senate and the Assembly, and I am hopeful that others will pass in the remaining five days of session.
In June, I will hold two post-session town halls to update you on the legislative session and to answer any questions you may have. Please stay tuned for more information on the locations, dates and times.
As always, if there is anything my office can assist you with, please email me at smayer@nysenate.gov or call (914) 934-5250.
Warm regards,
Shelley B. Mayer
State Senator
37th District
