The interview highlighted several alarming and unwarranted cost shifts and unfunded mandates that will result in a hard hit to local property taxpayers across the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes if enacted by Governor Hochul and Albany Democrats as part of the 2023-24 New York State budget.
Senator O'Mara joined WLEA's Brian O'Neil on the "Newsmaker" show on Monday, March 13th.
The interview highlighted several alarming proposals being pushed by Governor Hochul, as part of her 2023-24 Executive Budget, that would impose unwarranted cost shifts to and unfunded state mandates on localities - and result in a huge impact on local property taxpayers across the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes regions, and throughout New York.
Senator O'Mara also discusses ever-increasing violence within New York State's prisons stemming from soft-on-crime policies flowing out of Albany.
