Stec Inducts Finch Paper into State Historic Business Preservation Registry

Senator Stec honors Finch Paper
Business has been operating in Glens Falls for more than 150 years
Senator Dan Stec (R,C-Queensbury) today honored Finch Paper by presenting the company with a certificate inducting it into the state Historic Business Preservation Registry. A privately held pulp and paper manufacturer, Finch has been operating in Glens Falls since its founding more than 150 years ago.
 
Stec nominated Finch Paper for induction into the Historic Business Preservation Registry, citing the important role its long history in our community and its status as an industry leader. He was glad he could honor Finch’s legacy and continued success by personally presenting its management team with an induction certificate.
 
“It was a privilege to personally present the team at Finch Paper with a certificate inducting the company into the state Historic Business Preservation Registry,” said Stec. For more than 150 years, Finch Paper has been a local institution and a leader in the pulp and paper industry. I was proud to honor Finch and its history by nominating it for this honor. I wish the men and women who work here continued success and hope that it stays a vital part of our communities for generations to come.”
