Senator Sanders Host Senior Appreciation Event

Senator James Sanders Jr. recently hosted a vibrant Senior Appreciation Month event at Five Towns Mini Golf in Lawrence, bringing together over 100 seniors for a day filled with fun, camaraderie, and laughter. The event welcomed seniors from various organizations, including Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens (Howard Beach), Rochdale Village Senior Center, Brookville Older Adult Center, Robert Couche, and more, creating an atmosphere of unity and joy. Everyone enjoyed the mini golf, with some participants even proving they were “a hole in one” when it came to their skills on the course!

The day wasn’t just about golf; it was a full celebration of the seniors, complete with a delicious lunch that left no plate untouched. From start to finish, the laughter and conversations reflected the strong sense of community, and it was clear that this gathering was a much-needed opportunity for connection and fun. The sunny weather and beautiful green of the mini golf course only added to the occasion.
