Senator Brouk co-hosts 4th Annual State Budget Forum

ROCHESTER, NY - Senator Samra G. Brouk and members of the Greater Rochester Majority Delegation hosted their fourth annual Virtual Budget Forum on January 30th, 2024 to solicit feedback on the proposed state budget from community members and local organizations. 

Attendees ranged from leadership of local nonprofit organizations and educational institutions to local advocates and community members. Feedback was provided on topics such as education, human services, supporting New York’s aging population, and addressing climate change. One of the most popular topics of discussion was the need for investment in the state’s health and mental health systems. More than 40 individuals and organization leaders shared feedback at the live forum or via email.
