Senator Brian Kavanagh and Assemblymember Grace Lee, who represent Vladeck Houses, released the following joint statement:
“We are saddened to hear that a detective was injured in a shooting at Vladeck Houses early this morning while executing a search warrant as part of the NYPD’s ongoing efforts to prevent illegal guns from proliferating in our communities. We are glad that the officer is expected to make a full recovery and are grateful to this officer and all of the brave members of the Department who work to protect New Yorkers every day.”
