Senator Carl Marcellino Honored By La Fuerza Unida
Senator Carl L. Marcellino was honored on September 22 by La Fuerza Unida at their 3rd Annual Gala Dinner.
"I am delighted to receive this award from an organization that is deeply committed to the Long Island community. The work and dedication of this organization has helped countless families make the ‘American Dream’ come true," said Senator Marcellino.
La Fuerza began in 1978 as an outgrowth of community needs and shared interest among Spanish speaking persons in the City of Glen Cove. It was established as a vehicle to improve the social, literary, educational, cultural and economic conditions of Hispanic Americans. Now 27 years later La Fuerza is a multi-service agency responding to the needs of the overall low and moderate income community.
Maggie Martinez-Malito, Elizabeth and Frank Minier and Dr. Estrella Pannuto were also honored.
"We might never have succeeded in our endeavors without the encouragement of caring individuals like our honorees who are dedicated to helping those in need and focused on making a better tomorrow for all," said Pascual Blanco, Executive Director of La Fuerza Unida.
