Kiwanis Club Of Seaford Receives State Grant From Senator Fuschillo
Senator Fuschillo (8th Senate District) announced today that he has secured $2,500 in state grant funding for the Kiwanis Club of Seaford Evening. The club will use the funding to provide aid to children in the Seaford community.
"One of the greatest acts that we can ever perform is to lend a helping hand to others, and the members of the Kiwanis Club have dedicated themselves to that principle," said Senator Fuschillo. "Since their inception, the Kiwanis Club of Seaford Evening has been working hard on behalf of the children within our community, and I am pleased to help them continue that worthwhile objective by providing them with this grant funding."
"On behalf of the Seaford Kiwanis, we’d like to thank Senator Fuschillo for our very first grant. We will be using it for child safety in the community, as well as for sending disadvantaged kids from the community to Kamp Kiwanis in the Adirondack mountains," said Robin Asighieri, Secretary and Charter Founder of the Kiwanis Club of Seaford Evening.
The Kiwanis Club of Seaford Evening is part of Kiwanis International, a worldwide service organization for individuals desiring personal involvement of their communities. It is made up of over 300,000 members in more than 9,000 clubs in 76 countries around the world. Although it was formed only 3 years ago, the Kiwanis Club of Seaford Evening has over 20 members, and is a vibrant and active part of the Kiwanis fellowship.
