Senator Fuschillo Kicks Off 8th Annual Toy Drive To Benefit Children In Winthrop Hospital

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) today kicked off his eighth annual "Extend the Holidays" toy drive to benefit children in the pediatric ward of Winthrop University Hospital. New unwrapped toys can be delivered to Senator Fuschillo’s district office at 30 South Ocean Avenue in Freeport. The age range for donated toys is infants to early teen.

Senator Fuschillo's "Extend the Holidays" toy drive is a unique tradition that is entering its eighth year. Toys are delivered to children after the holiday season so that they can enjoy a little extra seasonal cheer, and take their mind off being in the hospital.

"This is a valuable and worthwhile holiday tradition that brings smiles to the faces of children who need a little extra care," said Senator Fuschillo. "Through the continued generosity of local residents and organizations, we canspread cheer to these kids throughout the year."
