Senator Fuschillo Participates In Chatterton Elementary School's "community Reading Celebration"

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) recently visited Chatterton Elementary School in Merrick to serve as a guest reader for Ms. Kalos’ kindergarten class as part of the school’s "Community Reading Celebration".

Senator Fuschillo read House Mouse, Senate Mouse by Peter and Cheryl Barnes to the class. The story allowed the children to learn, in a fun way, what Senator Fuschillo does as a New York State Senator.

"It is always fun to see how much these children enjoy reading. As a parent of three children, I know how important it is to encourage them to read at an early age. This program is a great way to reinforce that message," said Senator Fuschillo.
