Senator Farley's Office To Participate In C.a.r.e. Showcase On Nov. 15th
State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R,C - Schenectady) announced his Amsterdam District Office will be participating in the C.A.R.E. (Community Alliance for Resource Exchange) Showcase of community agencies and organization on Tuesday, Nov. 15th, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Horace J. Inman Senior Citizens Center, 53 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam.
"Almost 40 agencies will be participating in this wonderful day," Senator Farley said. "Sometimes people just don't know what programs are available to them. By coming to this event, they will have a one-stop shopping experience of meeting everyone."
In addition to table displays, each agency will give a five-minute presentation on the services and programs the organization provides. Participating agencies include: Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Council, Amsterdam Housing Authority, Amsterdam Memorial Health Care, ASAPP’s Promise, Assemblyman Paul Tonko’s Office, Baldwin Research Institute, Bridge Program, Center for the Disabled, Centro Civico Family Support Services, Children’s Mental Health Program, Community Hospice, Cornell Cooperative Extension, Domestic Violence & Crime Victim Services, Employment Resources, Family Counseling Center, Gentiva Health Services, Hispanic Outreach Service, Horace J. Inman Senior Citizens Center, Kid’s Peace, Montgomery County Allies in Prevention, Montgomery County Dept. of Social Services, Montgomery County Office for the Aging, Montgomery County Public Health, Montgomery County Reality Check, Montgomery Transitional Services, National Grid, Northeast Parent & Child Society, Private Industry Council, Project Action, Project L.I.F.T., Resource Center for Independent Living, St. Mary’s Hospital of Amsterdam, Senator Hugh Farley’s Office, Sexual Assault Support Services, Tri-County Mediation Center, United Way of Montgomery County, and Workforce Solutions.
