Bonacic Meets With West Point Cadet From Delaware County

State Senator John J. Bonacic (R/I/C - Mount Hope) had the opportunity to meet with Cadet Gilberto Nieves in Albany during the Senate’s Annual West Point Day. Each year, the Senate honors the Superintendent of the United States Military Academy at West Point, as well as the fine young men and women of the Academy for their outstanding work.

Senator Bonacic stated, "Cadet Gilberto Nieves has committed himself to the safety of our Country despite the fact that his brother Isaac Michael Nieves was killed in the line of duty last year while serving in Iraq. The sacrifice he and his family have made to our nation is heroic and worthy of recognition and honor. It was my honor to spend time with him in Albany."
