Disco Night Special, Shirley Alston Reeves, Upcoming Concerts In The Park
Brooklyn- State Senator Marty Golden (R-C-I, 22nd District) will present two headliners as part of his "Concerts in the Park" Series next week and is urging the community not to miss all the fun, the action and the entertainment.
On Tuesday night, July 19, 2005, Senator Golden will present a "Disco Night Special" featuring Carol Douglas, performing her hit record "Doctor’s Orders", and Carol Williams, performing her hit record "More". A John Travolta Impersonator will be among the invited guests as well at the 7:00 p.m. concert to be held at 79th Street Park, 79th Street and Shore Road.
On Wednesday night, July 20, 2005, Senator Golden will present Shirley Alston Reeves, the original lead singer of the Shirelles, performing her hit songs "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow," "Solider Boy", "Mama Said", "Baby It’s You", "Foolish Little Girl", and many mor at the 7:00 p.m. concert to be held at Marine Park at Fillmore Avenue.
Senator Marty Golden, with the Bay Ridge-Bensonhurst Parks Task Force, is hosting a series of summer concerts throughout the summer months of 2005.
