Golden To Host Bay Ridge Public Safety Town Hall
Brooklyn- State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C, 22nd District) will be hosting a Bay Ridge Public Safety town hall meeting on Thursday, July 28, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. at the 68th Precinct Station House located at 333-65th Street. The guest speaker at the meeting will be 68th Precinct Commander Deputy Inspector William Aubry who will be joined by representatives of the Precinct’s Command.
Senator Golden will be discussing legislation he is working on in the New York State Senate aimed at increasing penalties for abuse against the elderly and which seeks to impose regulations that govern the operations of cyber cafes.
Senator Golden will be discussing the passage of legislation increasing the penalty for hit and run drivers as well as legislation passed this session, known as "Billy’s Law", which will require out-of-state residential facilities that are used to house developmentally disabled New Yorkers to be regularly inspected, and licensed, by the State Department of Education.
State Senator Marty Golden is a former New York City Police Officer. The meeting is open to public and residents are urged to attend and address their community safety concerns.
