"a Night Of Entertainment" To Benefit The Biloxi Police Department Officer Katrina Relief Fund

Brooklyn- State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn), the Brooklyn Theatre Arts Project and the Christ Church of Bay Ridge, today announced that an event to benefit those affected by Hurricane Katrina entitled, "A Night of Entertainment", will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at the Christ Church Bay Ridge, 7301 Ridge Boulevard.

The event will feature live theatre and music, with performances from some favorite shows such as Godspell, Man of La Mancha, Tony N Tina’s Wedding, Dance Bojangles Dance, a new musical, and many more. Dinner will be served and there will an auction of some great prizes. Admission is $30.00 and can be in the form of either cash of check. Reservations must be made by Friday, September 23rd. All proceeds will go to the Biloxi Police Department Officer Katrina Relief Fund.

Senator Marty Golden stated, "This event will truly showcase some of our neighborhood’s greatest talent in the name of charity. I applaud the willingness of the members of the Brooklyn Theatre Arts Project, and I thank the Christ Church Bay Ridge for opening their doors to host this event, for together, we can help our fellow Americans in this time of most need. I encourage the community to attend what promises to be a great event, and especially since all proceeds will help those whose lives have been changed forever by Hurricane Katrina."

Anthony Augello, on behalf of the Brooklyn Theatre Arts Project stated, "We at the Brooklyn Theatre Arts Project, Inc. (BTAP) are humbly pleased to have the opportunity to lend our talents to ease the suffering of those heroes and civilians in need in the wake of Hurricane Katrina."

Senator Marty Golden, with CERT 1 NYC and the East Coast Kruzers, collected, packed and shipped three trucks loaded with supplies, clothing and canned goods, 2-30 foot trucks, and 1-48 foot truck, which were sent last weekl to both Dallas, Texas and Lake Charles, Louisiana.
