Nozzolio Announces Additional Information For Public Hearing On Indian Land Claim Settlement

Albany – New York State Senator Michael F. Nozzolio (R,C-Fayette) today announced the Senate Committee conducting hearings on Governor Pataki’s proposed legislation to settle five Indian land claims has released additional information on the public hearing being held at the Auburn campus of Cayuga Community College.

Those wishing to submit written testimony should send it to: Indian Casino Hearing Testimony, c/o Senate Majority Counsel Office, Room 430 in the Capitol, Albany, New York 12247. There are no limits to the length of the written testimony.

Those wishing to deliver oral testimony must call the Senate Committee on Housing, Construction and Community Development in Albany at (518) 455- 3181. Oral testimony must be limited to 5 minutes and the Committee advises that this will be strictly enforced.

Governor Pataki’s proposed land claim legislation can be viewed on Senator Nozzolio’s website at www.senatornozzolio.com.

Nozzolio reiterated that the hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, March 9, 2005 from 6p.m. to 8p.m. and will be held in the gymnasium at the Auburn campus of Cayuga Community College, located at 197 Franklin Street.
