Nozzolio Secures $50,000 In Funding For Auburn Police Department

Auburn--Continuing his aggressive efforts to support local law enforcement agencies in combating crime, State Senator Michael F. Nozzolio, Chairman of the Senate Crime Victims, Crime and Correction Committee, today announced that the Auburn Police Department will be receiving a $50,000 State grant to assist in purchasing equipment needed to aid the Department’s law enforcement efforts.

"The Auburn Police Department is one of the finest law enforcement agencies in our region and I was pleased to help secure this funding to assist the Department in their efforts to protect our citizens and families and ensure the safety of Auburn’s streets and neighborhoods," said Nozzolio.

Auburn Police Chief Gary Giannotta said, "Year in and year out, Senator Nozzolio has helped our police department and we are extremely fortunate to have him fighting for us in the State Senate. Senator Nozzolio has once again proven that he cares about our city residents.

"Senator Nozzolio is to be praised and thanked for his significant efforts in obtaining funding for needed equipment. On behalf of the entire department, I thank Senator Nozzolio for his assistance."
