Senator Nozzolio Announces Dismissal Of Indian Land Claim By Federal Court Of Appeals

Today’s decision by the second highest court in the nation to reverse and dismiss the Cayuga Indian land claim is great news for all New Yorkers, especially those of us living in the land claim area.

For 25 years, I have fought this land claim by the Cayuga Indian Tribe. Today’s decision validates my strong belief that this land claim is unjust to our homeowners and should effectively end almost three decades of legal harassment perpetrated in the Courts by this land claim.

This is a total victory for our property owners.
