Senator Nozzolio Delivers $100,000 For Lansing Community Library Center
Lansing– Continuing his commitment to local libraries, New York State Senator Michael F. Nozzolio (R-Fayette) today announced that he has secured a $100,000 State grant for the Lansing Community Library Center. The formal presentation was made at the Lansing Community Library Center at the old Lansing Town Hall on Saturday, June 18 at 11:00am. The grant was secured for the library’s capital improvement fund.
“There is no greater community resource than our local libraries. It is my hope that my efforts to secure this funding will help ensure that the Lansing Community Library Center continues to influence and shape the lives of future generations, as my local library did mine,” Senator Nozzolio said. “I have always said that libraries are our window to the world and I am pleased to be able to provide this State grant to Lansing.”
Kathleen Miller, President of the Lansing Public Library, said, “Since representing our community, Senator Nozzolio has supported the efforts of the Lansing Community Library Center in its mission to provide library services to Lansing. The Lansing Community Library Center wishes to express their sincere thanks to Senator Nozzolio for his continued support through this funding.”
Steven Farkas, Lansing Town Supervisor, said “I would like to thank Senator Nozzolio for his commitment to the Lansing Community Library Center and for his hard work in securing this important state funding. Senator Nozzolio has been a generous benefactor to many libraries in our region and this funding will allow the Lansing Community Library Center to continue to provide residents with access to books and resources that help to expand horizons. I am extremely proud of all of the folks who have worked so hard to make this a reality.
This new grant adds to a total of more than $2 million in State funding that Senator Nozzolio has secured for local libraries.
