Senator Nozzolio Delivers $15,000 For Fairville Volunteer Fire Department
Newark – Citing the critical importance of assisting local fire departments in their efforts to protect and serve the community, New York State Senator Michael F. Nozzolio (R-Fayette) today announced that he has secured $15,000 in State funding for the Fairville Volunteer Fire Department. The presentation was made at the Fairville Volunteer Fire Department station house on Thursday night.
“Our local fire departments provide critical lifesaving services for our citizens and communities,” said Senator Nozzolio. “The Fairville Volunteer Fire Department has long served this community with steadfast dedication and courage. It is vitally important that the Department has the best possible resources in order to do their jobs effectively and enhance public safety. It was a pleasure to secure this state funding.”
The funding will be used to purchase a thermal imaging camera, a fire fighting tool that can be used for locating persons in rescue and recovery operations.
Ed DeWolf Sr., Chief of the Fairville Volunteer Fire Department, said, “Senator Nozzolio has been a staunch supporter of the Fairville Volunteer Fire Department. This funding will allow us to purchase a thermal imaging camera, a critical piece of equipment that will enhance our services in the community and can help to save lives. We greatly appreciate Senator Nozzolio’s assistance and support.”
“Our brave firefighters represent the very best of our communities and the very best of New York State. I commend and thank Chief DeWolf and all the firefighters for their commitment to serving and protecting the public,” Nozzolio concluded.
