Senator Nozzolio Secures $150,000 For Palmyra Community Center
Palmyra – Calling it a great day for Palmyra’s children and families, New York State Senator Michael F. Nozzolio (R-Fayette) announced that he has secured a $150,000 State grant for the Palmyra Community Center.
“I couldn’t be more pleased to be able to secure this funding for the Palmyra Community Center,” Senator Nozzolio said. This facility serves every resident of Palmyra and the current expansion efforts will provide an even greater place for after-school activities, meetings and much, much more.”
The funding will be used for the completion of the community room which is designed to offer quality-meeting space for civic groups, community service organizations and other local philanthropic groups.
John Van Parys, Expansion Chairman for the Palmyra Community Center said “We would like to thank Senator Nozzolio for his generous support and tireless efforts in securing funds that will help us nearly complete the expansion of this great project.”
The Palmyra Community Center was founded in 1946 and has since grown into a community asset that offers programs for children, youth and adults. The Center focuses on offering wholesome recreation and social activities to all members of the greater Palmyra Macedon community.
“The new community room will be used for many different and unique purposes and I look forward to see the project once it is completed,” Senator Nozzolio concluded.
