Senator Saland To Hold 14th Annual Golden Gathering Saturday, September 17, 2005

Senator Steve Saland (R,C Poughkeepsie) will hold his 14th Annual Golden Gathering on Saturday, September 17, 2005, at Arlington High School, Route 55, in Lagrangeville between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

"The Golden Gathering is a wonderful opportunity for seniors to meet in a central location and have access to a large variety of useful information and services," said Senator Saland. "I encourage all local seniors to join us at Arlington High School on September 17th"

The gathering hosts over 100 exhibitors and includes free blood pressure testing, glaucoma, hearing, spinal, vision, diabetes and peripheral vascular disease (PVD) screening, new this year. A seminar on Changes in Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage, sponsored by the Dutchess County Office for the Aging, will be offered at approximately 10:30 a.m.

Live entertainment will be provided by the Golden Age Singers at approximately 11:00 a.m. There will be refreshments and raffles for door prizes.
