Senator Morahan Introduces Legislation To Monitor Convicted Sexual Predators For Life
Senator Tom Morahan introduced Senate legislation to ensure that sexual predators, incarcerated for sexually molesting children under the age of 14, be required to wear an electronic monitoring device as part of a lifetime probationi.
"Child Molesters are known to have a high recidivism rate. This legislation is designed to protect our communities from habitual sexual predators. It would require, that upon completion of sentence, child molesters convicted of molesting a young child, be monitored by lawenforcement, through the use of an electronic device that the released offender would wear. It is my belief that his bill provides additional protection to our children from certain sexual predators," said Senator Morahan.
