William T. Stachowski

(Albany, N.Y.) Senator Dale M. Volker (R-C-I, Depew) today announced that he has secured two state grants for the East Aurora American Legion Post 362. A grant of $25,000 will provide for the installation of a new water line for the American Legion Post 362 due to insufficient water capacity and pressure. Additionally, a $8,400 grant has been secured by Senator Volker to help assist the American Legion Post 362 for their recent hosting of the annual Erie County American Legion Convention.

Senator Volker said, "The East Aurora American Legion Post 362 is an important part of our community and their members have served our state and nation with great distinction and honor. They deserve a facility that has a reliable water supply for their members and for functions that take place there. The need for upgrading their water was necessary due to the severe lack of water capacity and pressure. The Village, Town and the Commander of the East Aurora American Legion Post 362, all have worked in a cooperative manner to make this upgrade feasible. It is a credit and testament to the men and women of our community, and I am honored to have played a role in bringing this project to fruition."

David J. DiPietro, Mayor of the Village of East Aurora said, "The Legion has endured years of limited water pressure at their facility. We all came together to make this project come about and I appreciate Senator Volker securing $25,000 to allow us to install this new water line. This capital expenditure is well worth the effort and will not impact our taxpayers. This is a win-win situation for everyone."

Terence M. Yarnall, Supervisor of the Town of Aurora stated, "The Town of Aurora has fully supported this endeavor and continues to appreciate the sacrifices that the members of the American Legion Post 362 have given to our country. This truly was a collaborative effort and I cannot thank Senator Volker enough in financially assisting this project towards its completion."

Ed Rausch, Commander of the East Aurora American Legion Post 362 said, " This tremendous news for the men and women of our Legion Post and for the community we serve. Senator Volker securing these two grants totaling over $32,000 will allow our facility to better accommodate our growing needs, and to remain financially viable. I would like to thank the Town, Village and Senator Volker for making this project come to fruition and we all look forward to its completion."
