Senator Dale M. Volker Secures $10,000 In State Funds For Livingston County Clerks Office

Senator Dale M. Volker (R-C-I, Depew) today announced that he has secured $10,000 for the Livingston County Clerk’s Office to complement an ongoing technological improvements to their filing system. Senator Volker secured these state funds as part of the adopted 2005-2006 State Budget.

"The Livingston County Clerk’s Office continues to make smart and cost-effective investments in technology so as to improve their record keeping responsibilities and protect Livingston County taxpayers," said Senator Dale M. Volker. "Files from many years ago still need to be inputted and saved for legal reasons, and the effort by the Livingston County Clerk to address this matter has been monumental. These state funds will allow for the completion of this record keeping and filing initiative in a timely manner at no cost to local taxpayers."

"The Livingston County Clerk’s Office has been undergoing a technological transformation over the past couple of years with new imaging scanning devices, computers, and assorted improvements to our operations," said Jim Culbertson, Livingston County Clerk. "I am always thankful for Senator Volker’s continued support in securing state funds to assist us as we work to provide Livingston County residents with the services they deserve in a cost-efficient manner."

The $10,000 in state funds secured by Senator Volker will allow for the hiring, for a four (4) month period, of an Index Clerk to back scan files, which will allow for improved efficiency of the Livingston County Clerk’s Imaging System for reviewing files.
