Senator Dale M. Volker Secures $15,000 For The Orchard Park Boys & Girls Club

(Albany, NY and Depew, NY) Senator Dale M. Volker (R-I-C, Depew) today announced that he has secured $15,000 to support the Orchard Park Boys & Girls Club. Senator Volker secured these funds as part of the adopted 2006-2007 State Budget.

"The Boys and Girls Club of Orchard Park has been a stabilizing and positive force in the lives of thousands of our young people in Orchard Park," said Senator Dale M. Volker. "The professional men and women who work here are committed to improving the lives of our young people so that they can achieve their personal and professional goals as they become positive assets in our society. I believe firmly in their mission and will continue to do all that I can to support the Boys and Girls Club of Orchard Park."

William R. Gehen, Jr., Executive Director of the Orchard Park Boys & Girls Club said, "Senator Volker continues to be supportive of our organization and has always been willing to lend a helping hand to address those critical needs that the Boys and Girls Club of Orchard Park provides to ensure that our young people have positive work and life tools to become successful adults. He continues to secure state funding to improve our facility and our keep our proven programs up and running. $15,000 in state funds will ensure that our programs and services will inspire and enable our young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens."

Erie County Legislator John J. Mills said, "The Boys and Girls Club of Orchard Park has played an positive role in the lives of our children for many decades, and I continue to appreciate their efforts to assist our young people live productive and beneficial lives. Senator Volker understands the importance of this organization and by him securing $15,000 in state funds to support this organization, it reflects the support of the community and the State of New York in helping our young people reach positive outcomes."

Orchard Park Town Councilman Stanley Jemiola said, "The Boys and Girls Club of Orchard Park has benefited so many of our young people over the years. The programs provided by the Boys and Girls Club of Orchard Park increase the odds of success for youth by giving them career and life skills that they can used throughout their lives. I would like to thank Senator Volker for his dedication to our young people and his consistent support of the mission of the Boys and Girls Club of Orchard Park."

Senator Volker, in securing this $15,000, will assist the Orchard Park Boys & Girls Club to improve their existing building, as well as a complement funding for its full-time Program Director.
