Senator Volker Announces Funding For Volunteer Fire Training Purposes In Erie County

(Albany, NY) On Saturday, May 14th, Senator Dale M. Volker will hold a press conference pertaining to state funding for the continued training of volunteer fire personnel in Erie County. Due to the financial challenges currently taking place in Erie County, funding for fire training instructors were reduced by 33 and more than half of its maintenance staff that works on the fire radio system throughout the county were eliminated.

Due to the importance of firematic personnel, Senator Volker will announce funding to ensure that volunteer fire personnel have the ability to have hands on skills training, utilizing the most updated fire prevention techniques.
