Senator Marcellino Announces Environmental Victories In The State Budget
State Senator Carl L. Marcellino (R, Syosset), Chairman of the Environmental Conservation, Housing and Agriculture Budget Subcommittee, today announced that the final legislative budget agreement incorporated many of the recommendations made by his subcommittee. Most importantly, the final legislative budget agreement includes $200 million for the Environmental Protection Fund (EPF).
"The Environmental Protection Fund is the engine which drives a myriad of programs which improve the air, water, and quality of life for all New Yorkers. Whether it is protecting open space, revitalizing waterfronts, or improving zoos, botanical gardens and aquariums, the EPF gets it done," said Senator Marcellino.
