Senator Fuschillo And Assemblyman Saladino Honor Vietnam Veteran From Massapequa Park

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) and Assemblyman Joseph Saladino (12th Assembly District) today presented the New York State Conspicuous Service Cross to Massapequa Park resident Arthur Krumm in recognition of his service during the Vietnam War.

"Mr. Krumm bravely served our nation as a member of the armed forces, and each of us owes him a great deal of gratitude, admiration, and respect for the sacrifices he made for our country," said Senator Fuschillo. "It is a privilege to honor this local hero."

"It is an honor to join withSenator Fuschillo in honoring this courageous veteran and in doing so, we pay tribute to every veteran who has protected freedom and our American way of life," stated Assemblyman Saladino.

Mr. Krumm served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, achieving the rank of Sergeant. In addition to the Conspicuous Service Cross, Mr. Krumm has also been awarded the Bronze Star Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with 4 bronze service stars, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal.

The Conspicuous Service Cross is offered by New York State to acknowledge recipients of various military honors or those who were prisoners of war, at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, directly participated in the D-day invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944, or have been declared MIA or killed in Action by the Department of Defense.
