Senator Fuschillo To Bring Government Services To Local Residents As Part Of His "wantagh Community Day"

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) announced today that he will be bringing a wide variety of programs and services directly to Wantagh residents as part of his "Wantagh Community Day", which will be held on Thursday, August 17th.

All Wantagh residents are invited to attend the following events:

6:30-8 AM: Senator Fuschillo will be at the Wantagh Train Station to speak with commuters about the Long Island Rail Road.

10 AM-12:30 PM: Residents can avoid the line at the DMV and come to the Wantagh American Legion, where Senator Fuschillo will be bringing New York State DMV’s mobile outreach unit. This unit provides DMV services such as license and registration renewals, eye testing, issuing new licenses plates, and accepting old license plates. The American Legion is located at 3484 Park Avenue. This service is by appointment only, please call Senator Fuschillo’s office at 546-4100 to sign up.

1:30-3 PM: Consumers can learn how to prevent identity theft and safeguard their private information at a presentation Senator Fuschillo is sponsoring in conjunction with the New York State Consumer Protection Board at the Wantagh American Legion.

3-4 PM: Senator Fuschillo and his staff will hold mobile office hours at the Wantagh Public Library.

6:30-8 PM: Wantagh residents can learn how to protect themselves and their families at Senator Fuschillo’s emergency preparedness meeting at the Wantagh Fire Department Headquarters, 3470 Park Avenue. Representatives from the State Emergency Management Office (SEMO), the Nassau County Office of Emergency Management (OEM), the Red Cross, LIPA, and the Wantagh Fire Department will all be presenting information.
