Senator Fuschillo Discusses Important State Issues With Wantagh High School Students
Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) recently visited Wantagh High School to talk with students about government.
Senator Fuschillo explained his role as a state legislator and talked about some of the issues being debated in the Senate that have an effect on young people, such as drunk driving, smoking, and the requirements needed to obtain a driver’s license. Afterwards, the students had the opportunity to ask questions and share their thoughts with Senator Fuschillo.
"It is important for these young adults to understand how government works and the need for them to get involved, because these issues will have an impact on their lives. This was also a great opportunity for me to hear about the things that are important to them," said Senator Fuschillo. "I really enjoyed having the chance to speak with these students and listen to their ideas for the future of our state."
