Senator Fuschillo Welcomes Suffolk All-county Jazz Band To The State Capitol

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) recently welcomed the members of Suffolk’s all-county high school jazz band to the State Capitol in Albany as part of the New York State School Music Association’s (NYSSMA) 34th annual "Music in our Schools" month program.

Suffolk’s all-county high school jazz band was among a select delegation of school bands, orchestras, choruses and jazz ensembles invited to Albany to play for thousands of people in the south concourse of the Empire State Plaza.

"It was wonderful that these young musicians had the unique opportunity to represent Suffolk County in Albany and perform for an audience of legislators, staff members, and Capitol visitors," said Senator Fuschillo, who attended the group’s performance. "They did an outstanding job, and I hope that they enjoyed this experience."
