Skelos Welcomes Rabbi And Cadets To The Capitol On West Point Day

New York State Senate Deputy Majority Leader Dean G. Skelos (R-Rockville Centre) welcomed Rabbi (Major) Carlos C. Huerta, Chaplain of the United States Military Academy at West Point, to the Senate chamber on the designation of Wednesday April 5, 2006 being West Point Day. Each year the New York State Senate and Assembly commemorate the establishment of the United States Military Academy at West Point by an act of Congress, on March 16, 1802. Rabbi Huerta, who has served twice in Iraq with the 101 Airborne Division (Band of Brothers), gave the invocation at the beginning of Session on April 5, 2006.
