Senator Farley Seeks Participants For Home Safety Day On June 10th
State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R, C - Schenectady) is teaming up with the Hagaman Volunteer Fire Department to host a Home Safety Day on June 10th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Sears Hardware parking lot, Town Square Plaza, Route 30 North, Amsterdam.
This event is being held in conjunction with the fire department's annual car and bike show. The day also includes a summer cookout, raffles and prizes, a live musical performance by The Lone Peaches and more. "Last fall, my office teamed up with the Tribes Hill Fire Department and held a Fire Safety Expo," Senator Farley explained. "We had so much fun and informed numerous people about fire safety, that I decided to team up with Hagaman to do something similar."
Any group or non-profit organization interested in hosting a table at this event can call Senator Farley's Amsterdam District Office at 843-2188.
The Home Safety Day will have demonstrations and information on firefighter skills and carbon-monoxide awareness. Hagaman Volunteer Fire Department will also show off its safety trailer.
