Central Bridge Man Confirmed By Senate To State Panel
John K. Brust of Katikell Road, Central Bridge, has been confirmed by the state senate to serve an additional term on the Albany Pine Bush Preserve Commission, Senator James L. Seward announced today. Seward is a member of the Senate Finance Committee, which must consider nominations before they are acted upon by the full Senate. Brust was confirmed by the senate in its special session last week.
Brust is an environmental consultant and a principal in the engineering firm of Delaware Engineering, P.C. He holds degrees from Seton Hill University and Rutgers, and has been a board member of the Landis Arboretum.
"John Brust is considered a valuable member of the commission," Seward said. "I commend the governor on his nomination and wish John well as he continues."
The commission is charged with the protection and enhancement of the Albany Pine Bush preserve.
The term expires in 2007.
The position carries no compensation.
