Windham’s Dan Frank Appointed To State Panel

Dan Frank of Windham has been confirmed by the New York State Senate to a term on the state’s Passenger Tramway Advisory Council, Senator James L. Seward announced today. Seward is a member of the Senate Finance Committee, which must consider nominations before they are acted upon by the full Senate.

Frank is president of Ski Windham Operating Corporation and Winwood Properties of Windham. He has served in various capacities at Windham sincee 1982. He holds a B.A. in economics from Hobart College. He is chairman of the Greene County Industrial Development Agency and has served on several committees on behalf of the Windham-Ashland-Jewett School District.

"I commend the governor for appointing Dan Frank," Senator James L. Seward said. "His vast experience in the ski business will serve the people of the state well in the deliberations of the advisory council."

The council, created by state law, advises the state labor commissioner on issues pertaining to ski tows, passenger tramways and downhill skiing.

The term expires Septmeber 30, 2010. It is uncompensated.
