Bonacic: Arts Groups Receive More Than $150,000 In Funding

State Senator John J. Bonacic (R/I/C - Mt. Hope), today announced that the State Council on the Arts has awarded the following grants to arts organizations which serve the counties of Delaware, Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster.

Arts in Orange: Four grants totaling $81,000. The grants will be Middletown, Orange County used for local arts performances, technology upgrades, workshops, and administrative support;

Brydcliffe Theater Company: $4,200 for professional performances;

Woodstock, Ulster County

Coming Together Fest/DNC

& MSC: Two grants totaling $35,000. The funding will be New Paltz, Ulster County used for arts in education and local community arts related services;

Foundation for the Open Eye: Two grants totaling $20,000.

Margaretville, Delaware County The funding will be used for arts in education and local professional arts performances;

Franklin Stock Co. @ Chapel Hall $7,700 for professional performances;

Franklin, Delaware County

Maverick Concerts $12,000 for operating support.

Woodstock, Ulster County.

"The Arts serve as an economic asset in the Hudson Valley and Catskills. They bring tourists to our region and create jobs. I will continue to promote the arts as an economic and tourism attraction in our communities," Senator Bonacic said.
