Bonacic Highlights Breast Cancer Support Programs

John J. Bonacic

State Senator John J. Bonacic (R/I/C - Mount Hope) hosted a very special guest on his local Cable television program today. Hillary Rutter, Executive Director of Adelphi New York Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline and Support Program joined Senator Bonacic in an informative discussion on support available to women and families affected by breast cancer.

"Breast cancer impacts everyone of us, whether it is ourselves, our mother, sister, aunt, spouse or friend coping with this disease," stated Senator Bonacic. "I strongly believe that the more knowledge we have, the better off we all will be. I was pleased to have Ms. Rutter on the show providing my constituents with life saving and quality of life information."

Hillary Rutter said, "Too many women feel all alone and do not know where to turn for support and help after they receive a diagnosis of breast cancer. I appreciate Senator Bonacic's assistance in getting the message out that there is help out there."

Senator Bonacic also provided information relating to local support programs that exist in Sullivan and Ulster Counties such as Breast Cancer Options. For information about that program visit www.breastcanceroptions.org or call (845) 657-8222.
