Delaware River Greenway Moves Forward
Narrowsburg – New York State Senator John Bonacic is hopeful that legislation creating a Delaware River Valley Greenway will be approved in the new year.
Bonacic is encouraged that both houses of the legislature will agree on a measure soon.
“We passed it in the Senate and we had every municipality see the language and those that wanted to participate have signed off,” he said. “Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther passed a Greenway bill in the Assembly, slightly different versions, but I am sure we will get that done in the very near future.”
Bonacic wants the Upper Delaware region to have benefits similar to those communities that are in the Hudson River Greenway.
