Senator Flanagan Honored To Serve As Grand Marshal Of Smithtown Memorial Day Parade

Senator John J. Flanagan (2nd Senate District) was honored to serve as the Grand Marshal of the 2006 Memorial Day Parade organized by the Knights of Columbus, Holy Mother Mary #3958 and held in Smithtown.

"We can call ourselves American because of the efforts of those we honor on Memorial Day and we must never forget their sacrifice and the sacrifices of their families. We are a nation that remembers and honors our heroes and I am proud to be a small part of this commemoration," stated Senator Flanagan. "I thank the Knights of Columbus for this privilege and I salute all the veterans and all our servicepersons around the world."
