Brooklyn Seniors Sail New York's Harbor

Brooklyn- State Senator Martin J. Golden, (R-C, 22nd District), Chairman of the New York State Senate Aging Committee, earlier this week hosted a Senior Boat Ride for local senior citizens aboard the "River Rose".

Senator Marty Golden has hosted this event for the past four years, an event that provides for an enjoyable afternoon and a memorable time for all. The boat rides features music, dancing, lunch. Seniors Our Lady of Angels, the Fort Hamilton Senior Center, St. Dominic’s Church, St. Finbar’s Church and St. Bernadette’s Church were invited.

Senator Marty Golden stated, "Our community is home to many senior citizens who are active and who enjoy the greatness of our City, our many landmarks, and our harbor. It has always been a pleasure to host this boat ride as a special opportunity and a special day out. The sights and sounds of New York’s harbor were a backdrop to seniors enjoying their lunch, singing and dancing. "
