Happy Lunar New Year From Senator Golden
Senator Marty Golden together with the Chinese American Partnership Inc. will host the 5th annual Lunar New Year celebration on Sunday February 12, 2006 from 3 to 6pm in New Utrecht High School, 1601 80th St, Brooklyn.
The celebration will include cultural performances, community information, raffles and an awards presentation. All residents are welcome.
Senator Marty Golden says, “I am pleased to host my 5th Lunar New Year Celebration of South Brooklyn for the year of the Dog. In 2004, I proposed in the Senate to have Lunar New Year to be official celebration day. The legislation has come true. From this year onward, New York State
has an official state recognized celebration”
The celebration has over 20 sponsors from the local business.
The programs of the Lunar New Year Celebration includes performances by seniors, children, and professionals by diverse ethnicity, Chinese, Malaysian, Korean and a Lucky drawing.
