Senator Golden To Address Senior Umbrella Network Of Brooklyn
Brooklyn, NY-August, 2006 – The Senior Umbrella Network of Brooklyn, (Sun-B), will hold their August Meeting at the Sephardic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 266 Cropsey Avenue, on Tuesday, August 15th from 9 – 11AM. The featured speaker is one of the area’s foremost champions of the rights of the elderly, Senator Martin Golden.
“I am pleased to be able to speak to the members of Sun-B,” says Senator Golden. “It is vitally important that community organizations like theirs work together for the benefit of our senior citizens.”
As Chairman of the NY State Committee on Aging, Senator Golden has been a strong advocate of improving and enhancing the quality of life for New York’s senior citizens. He has introduced an aggressive legislative agenda that seeks protection of seniors from elder abuse, a reduction in the price of prescription drugs, and the promotion of a more independent lifestyle. Those will be the topics of discussion on August 15th along with assisted living facilities and home health care. Guests are welcome to attend at no cost. Call Vicki Ellner at 718.745.7508x246 or email jaspip@aol.com to reserve.
Sun-B is a membership organization of non-profit and for-profit professionals who work with or on behalf of seniors in Brooklyn. Membership is nominal ($50 per year) and provides significant networking and marketing opportunities.
